The Ironwood Jazz Supper Club Guest Artist Series presents internationally renowned Mafalda Minnozzi and Paul Ricci, arriving from their home bases in New York, Brazil and Italy for an evening celebrating legendary international divas including Édith Piaf, Elis Regina, Astrud Gilberto, Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Horn, Diana Krall, Ornella Vanoni and Mina.
Mafalda and Paul have toured and performed with many of the iconic figures of jazz and Brazilian music, including Astrud Gilberto, Don Byron, David Liebman, Joe Locke, John Patitucci, Edison Machado, Dom Um Romão, Bebel Gilberto, Bobby Sanabria, Harry Belafonte, Steve Jordan, Randy Brecker, Anthony Jackson and Manolo Badrena.
Mafalda brings the theatrical richness of her Italian roots, embracing the traditions of cabaret, opera and jazz, while Paul provides the perfect accompaniment with his lyrical jazz guitar styling. They are a world-class act, and this promises to be a wonderful and beguiling evening celebrating the great international divas of jazz.
