Mafalda Minnozzi returns to the prestigious John Monteleone “Art of the Guitar” Festival at The Jazz Loft, one of the world’s most renowned celebrations of guitar artistry and jazz. The festival, named for the legendary luthier John Monteleone—whose instruments are part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and have been played by icons like Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler—continues its tradition of presenting the highest level of musicianship in an intimate setting.
This year, Mafalda Minnozzi and guitarist Paul Ricci take the stage with MEU RIO, a journey through jazz, bossa nova, and Italian song, drawing from the acclaimed albums RIOFONIC, Natural Impression, and the new project Voci di Donne: Mina & Vanoni in Jazz.
An evening of refined artistry, where Italian sensibility meets Brazilian rhythm and American jazz, in a festival dedicated to the art of the guitar.
Paul Ricci, her longtime collaborator, has just released his new album “The Path” (Origin Records, January 2026), a project hailed as “a 29-year journey toward a borderless jazz” (Paris-Move). Featuring an extraordinary ensemble that includes Anthony Jackson, Steve Jordan, Randy Brecker, and the Malian singer Abdoulaye Diabaté, the album showcases Ricci’s unique ability to blend jazz, Brazilian, African, and global rhythms.
