“Meu Rio” is a heartfelt tribute to the vibrant city of Rio, where Mafalda launched her illustrious Brazilian career nearly 30 years ago. Since then, she has captivated audiences across Latin America, Europe, and the USA, performing at renowned festivals and clubs.

Mafalda’s collaborations with artists like João Bosco, Milton Nascimento, Leny Andrade, Guinga, Hélio Alves, and Roberto Menescal have paved the way for her acclaimed album RIOFONIC, which soared to the top of the American “JazzWeek” radio charts for over 14 weeks. Her style blurs the lines between classic songs and adventurous improvisation, inspiring both the musicians and audience.

In the jazz realm, Mafalda has also collaborated with distinguished American jazz musicians such as John Patitucci, Joe Locke, Will Calhoun, David Liebman, and Gene Bertoncini, further enriching her musical tapestry.

Paul Ricci, a virtuoso guitarist, has an impressive history of collaborations, having played or recorded with legendary musicians including Dom Um Romao, Edison Machado, Astrud Gilberto, Bebel Gilberto, Steve Jordan, Anthony Jackson, Randy Brecker, Jaki Byard, Dennis Irwin, David Kikoski, Victor Jones, Santi DeBriano, Mino Cinelu, Gil Goldstein, Hugo Fattoruso, Cyro Baptista, Mike Clark and many others. His remarkable skill and experience add another layer of prestige to the ensemble.
