Noted professor David Schroeder has directed the prestigious New York University Jazz studies program for many years and as part of his contribution to the art form, he has documented interviews and master classes with some of the art form’s most important musicians in podcasts on the internet. Paul Ricci, with Mafalda will present a master class based on the merging of jazz and Brazilian rhythms and demonstrate how they apply it to their arranging style. The young jazz musician will inevitably need to approach both sonic worlds in the current modern jazz language.
